Overview

The AHA’s ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

 

Target Audience

For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response

 

Course Content

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

 

 Please NOTE:

This is a blended learing course. You must complete the ACLS Part 1 self-study prior to registering. 

 

Overview

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

 

Target Audience

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

 

Course Content

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Target Audeince 

Heartsaver CPR AED is geared for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

Course Content

 

Instructor-led, hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency

This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

 

Overview

The Community Narcan Training Course will prepare you for in the event of whitnessing someone overdose on opioids. This is course is designed to make you aware of the use of drugs such as opioids, and their impacts on the human body. 

Target Audience

Community Narcan Training is open to anyone in the public, teens, adults, and the elderly. No person is to old or to young to take this course. 

Class Format

This course is a lecture and hands on style class. We will start out with an approxamate 1 hour lecture and then half hour skills session. 

Students learn how to:

  • Protect themselves from opioids, and bodily fluids
  • Act quickly and safely.
  • Administer Narcan via the internasal route
  • Provide rescue breaths and placing the victim in the recovery position

Overview

A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We've all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®.

Target Audience 

A STOP THE BLEED® Train The Trainer course subjects the prospect instructor to learn the different methods of teaching, presentations, and course structure. The target audience's are EMT's, AEMT's, Paramedics, Nurses, Law Enforcement, Firefighters.  

Class Format

Our instructors will teach you live—in person, using training materials specially developed to teach bleeding control techniques. They will not only instruct you, they will be available to check your movements as you practice three different bleeding control actions. They will keep working with you until you demonstrate the correct skills to STOP THE BLEED® and save a life.

What You will Gain from the Course

The fundamentals of teaching the Stop The Bleed Course. The ability to begin teaching your own Stop The Bleed® courses, and our training staff will get you set up with your instructor accounts. 

 

In the case of adverse weather conditions or a significant emergency preventing our instructors from conducting the class, there is a possibility of rescheduling the course and/or receiving a refund.
